Director Bobet Vidanes revealed the hidden truth about Ryan Bang’s stint in the Kapamilya noontime show, “It’s Showtime.”
KAMI learned that the veteran television director shared how the Korean actor got the opportunity to be a “hurado” in the show several years ago.
Director Bobet expressed that he did not know Ryan before until an ABS-CBN executive suggested that he should include Ryan in the program.
The hosts and the audience became excited to know the Kapamilya boss whom Bobet was referring to as he revealed that it was Cory Vidanes who recommended the actor to be part of It’s Showtime.
He also disclosed the heart-breaking reason why Cory told him to give Ryan the chance of proving himself in the showbiz industry.
“Si Ryan kasi nag grow talaga yan sa Showtime. Pero actually hindi po ako ang kumuha kay Ryan. Alam ni Ryan yan... Minahal ko yan si Ryan pero…
“May taong nagbigay sa akin kay Ryan Bang. Talagang ipinilit sa akin na gamitin niyo si Ryan Bang kasi magaling yung batang yan. Hindi ko kilala si Ryan Bang. Sino ba si Ryan Bang? Isa siyang Korean na bagets na nakakatawa.
“Alam mo, nung nakuha namin si Ryan, medyo siyempre… nakakatawa ba ‘to? Pero magaling yung bata. Ryan, you should thank Cory Vidanes. Si Cory Vidanes ang nagbigay sa’yo sa akin,” the director quipped.

Upon knowing the truth, the Korean heartthrob immediately showed gratitude to the said ABS-CBN boss for giving him the opportunity.
He also did not forget to thank Direk Bobet for accepting him and appreciating his talent and contributions in the program.
