Ang Probnsiyano continues to soar ratings-wise in the primetime. Launched in September 2015, the show continues to delight viewers while there are some who are annoyed.
Though it may seem like it has been airing forever, did you know that there are some other Kapamilya teleserye which aired long and some even longer than Carlo Dalisay's.
Here are some of them.
1. Mula sa Puso
Length: 2 years, 1 month (March 1997 – April 1999)
Rico Yan and Claudine Baretto are one of the timeless love team which sent everyone swooning with their teleserye Mula sa Puso.
A remake was launched in 2011 with Lauren Young as Via and Eula Valdez as Selina, but as they say, nothing beats the original.
Length: 2 years, 3 months (February 1999 – May 2001)
Starring Camille Pratts, Shaina Magdayao, and Serena Dalrymple, this teleserye tells the story of three friends who are constantly opressed by their guardian, Katrina (Rio Locsin)
3. Be Careful With My Heart
Length: 2 years, 4 months (July 2012 – November 2014)
This daytime series is about a story between the lovable Maya (Jodi Sta. Maria) and the ever so stoic Sir Chief (Richard Yap)
The show was originally planned to run for just 13 weeks but their tandem received enormous support from fans which extended the show for more than 2 years.
Length: 2 years, 5 months (February 1997 – July 1999)
This show was the peak of the Wowie De Guzman – Judy Ann Santos love team. Juday’s career was also unstoppable, having just come off another long-running soap in Mara Clara.
Length: 4 years and 6 months (August 1992 – February 1997)
The show that launched Judy Ann Santos as a legit lead star and Gladys Reyes as the ultimate kontrabida which is a story about two girls switched at birth who eventually grew up to hate the cr4p out of each other.
This paved way for many more shows of Judy Ann and Gladys.
Mara Clara is the longest running Philippine teleserye of all time, clocking in almost half a decade. Will Coco Martin's FPJ's Ang Probinsiya beat it?
