In an interview with PUSH back in January of 2018, it has been reported that Rico J, Puno has fully recovered and ready to go back to what he does best. Performing and making people laugh. He feels that he still hasn’t given enough back to OPM that’s why God hasn’t taken him yet.

"Alam niyo seriously, kulang pa siguro ang contributions ko sa OPM kaya siguro binuhay pa tayo ng Diyos,” added Rico J. Puno.

But now, it seems that he is doing okay. Recently, PUSH was able to touch base with Rico J. regarding his condition where he was recently hospitalized due to complications of his heart. Not to mention him being diabetic which made it a but more complex. Not even that health scare can phase him.

After a few laughs, Rico J. Puno shifted to a little more serious note and thanked God for, yet, another change. He explaimed, “But not because of that [the pacemaker], but because of God, di sana wala ako dito,”

The way he looks at the entire ordeal these past few years is like he has been given another shot at life and he is immediately taking the opportunity to do something about it. Not even a pacemaker can slow him down. He even told PUSH in an interview, “may pacemaker na ako ngayon. Ang ganda pala nito pero very expensive. (Ito) yung nilalagay kay Iron Man.”

After the triple bypass operation last 2015 and the mild stroke the year after, KAMI learned that Rico J. Puno is doing very well and can't wait to go back to his regularly scheduled activities like being a hurado for TNT in It's Showtime.
