Kim Chiu apologizes to LGBT community for 'bakla' comment on ASAP

- Kim Chiu called Kakai Bautista bakla during one of the tandem’s segments in ASAP TLC last October 7.

- Kim immediately took to Twitter her using the term loosely as a term of endearment between her and Kakai.

- The 28 year old quickly apologized if she offended anyone and even pointed out that there was nothing wrong with being gay.

In a recent Twitter post last October 7, 2018, Kim Chiu quickly doused the possibility of an internet outrage by telling her 1.25 million followers that her using the term bakla was nothing more than a term of endearment between her and Kakai Bautista.

Before any of her fans could react to what she said in ASAP TLC, Kimmy took it upon herself to point it out and explain that the word used was not meant to offend but as what she and Kakai would call themselves.

She even added that she even considers herself as gay and that there was nothing wrong in being gay.

As of this writing, more than 150 responses were posted in response to Kimmy’s tweet defending her and pointing out that there was nothing wrong with what she did.

One netizen even encouraged her by telling her that she enjoyed watching her in the TV show.

There were some Twitter followers who would try to take a stab at her tweet but you can be sure that her loyal followers would come to her rescue.
