ABS-CBN has finally released its official statement concerning the harassment complaint filed by Gretchen Fullido against ABS-CBN execs.
KAMI learned that the news anchor and reporter filed a lawsuit primarily against Cheryl Favila, ABS-CBN News Executive and Maricar Asprec, news segment producer.
According to the official statement of Atty. Marvin Arceno, legal counsel of Gretchen, she received text messages that were "loaded with innuendos" from both accused.
Arceno also stated that they "retaliated" because Gretchen didn't give in to their "advances."
Now, the network has finally released its official statement to PEP on the said complaint.
"ABS-CBN respects the right of news anchor and reporter Gretchen Marie Fullido to bring her *** harassment complaint to the courts.
"Now that she has filed charges with the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, we expect all parties to allow the legal process to take its course.
"ABS-CBN takes *** harassment seriously and does not condone such acts in the workplace or by its employees.
"When Ms. Fullido filed an administrative case against a supervising producer and a segment producer for alleged *** harassment in November 2017, the company took prompt action on the administrative complaint and decided based on the evidence presented."
Gretchen Fullido is a news anchor and reporter at ABS-CBN. She is a regular of TV Patrol.
