Billy Crawford finally reveals reason for prolonged absence from ‘It’s Showtime’

Many viewers of “It’s Showtime” have been wondering why Billy Crawford has been missing on the program for several months, with some speculating that he has permanently left the show.
KAMI learned that the singer-host finally opened up about his status with the show.
Billy talked about it during his guesting on the ABS-CBN talk show “Magandang Buhay.”
According to Billy, he had to take an indefinite leave from “It’s Showtime” so that he could fully focus on his wife, Coleen Garcia.
He also used the opportunity to finish a music album.
However, he is quite certain that he will come back to the show but that he is not sure when that would be.
"Well right before the wedding kasi medyo naging busy talaga. 'Yun nga one of the reasons na nag-leave muna ako sa 'Showtime,' which sa awa ng Diyos and thank you sa management dito na pinayagan naman ako to be on a leave.
“Para I can concentrate with Coleen, my marriage, the wedding planning, after the wedding nagpagawa naman ng bahay. So instead naman na magpaasa pa ako na 'oo, babalik ako, babalik ako,' I just took time off na lang…
"And it gave me time to concentrate and to focus on myself, my marriage, also my passion din 'yung music ko. So finally after 9 years natapos ko na ang album ko. It's part of my life, my music.
“It's part of my passion. So hindi ko puwedeng madaliin, at hindi ko puwedeng basta-basta gawin lang din. And 'yung inspiration din coming from Coleen is there. Lahat it's all part of the plan.”
Billy on going back to the program:
"I'm sure, yes. Pero I'm not sure now kung ano lang ang plano, kung kailan or what. Kasi hindi ko rin alam, kasi I really do want to start a family as well. Ang hirap, I want to be there. I want to be a husband to my wife, I want to be a father to my kids,” he explained, as quoted by ABS-CBN News.
His wife Coleen also talked about Billy’s decision to focus on their marriage:
"May mga tao kasi na kaya. Passion talaga nila to grind everyday.
“Pero ito kasi si Billy, at this point in his life at 36 years old, he wants to slow down and he wants to focus on family. Buong buhay niya he didn't get to focus on family.
“Ako hiwalay ang parents ko. So pareho kami na 'yung gusto sa buhay, 'yun talaga ang priority namin is to have a good family life. 'Yun ang pangarap namin," she revealed.

KAMI reported previously that Coleen Garcia fainted at an airport in Thailand just before attending the ABS-CBN Ball 2018.
Billy and Coleen tied the knot on April 20, 2018 at Balesin Island.
The two met and fell in love on “It’s Showtime,” since Coleen also used to be a host of the program.
