-Giving birth is a special moment for a mother, but not everyone knows that delivering baby boys are more painful than giving birth to baby girls
-Yes! Studies showed the most possible reason for this phenomenon
-The pains of delivering baby girls are not as intense as giving birth to baby boys. Here's why
Giving birth is wonderful! All moms would agree on that! Though, natural childbirth is associated with a lot of pain.
According to some, giving birth to a baby boy is more painful than delivering a girl.
But studies backed it up! According to the journal Pediatric Research, a study conducted by San Cecilio Clinical Hospital of Granada and a team of researchers from the University of Granada (UGR).
Researchers studied 56 healthy pregnant women. 27 turned out to be boys while 29 were girls.
According to their studies, delivering baby boys are more painful than baby girls. They found that the biomolecules of moms who had delivered baby girls showed less damage.
This is because girls respond better to stress.
The enzymatic systems found in females are more mature when they are ready to be born. It leads to creating a barrier, which in turn helps in preventing cell damage. Females possess a certain defensive antioxidant that is better than what is found in males. This leads to less oxidative damage to cell membranes at the time of birth. And this optimizes cellular metabolism as well, according to one article of The Asian Parent.
Based on the research made by some group of experts, Javier Diaz Castro and Julio Jose Ochoa Herrera who worked with the Department of Physiology of the UGR.
In other words, baby girls and their moms are able to more effectively handle the aggression that labor implies. Therefore, the pains are not as intense as giving birth to baby boys.
Also, various studies said that there are possible complications when giving birth to baby boy.
Baby boys may be born earlier than the due date that can lead to some complications. Baby boys are more likely to be born preterm. Pregnant women carrying baby boys are more prone to gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, and high blood pressure at the time of delivery. According to Dr. Petra Verburg of the Robinson Research Institute at the University of Adelaide in Australia
But don't be afraid mommies! Do not fear to suffer incredible pain because God is wise! Your body and love for your child would help you with the process of life.
Trust me, you'll know what to do when you are already there.
