Sad news for the Filipino fans. Meralco Bolts fell short in their first game in FIBA Asia Champions Cup. The Thailand team, Mono Vampire dominated the Bolts with score of 100-92.
KAMI has learned from Spin.ph that Mono Vampire’s Marcus Keene dominated the game with 29 points. Meanwhile, Michael Singletary chipped in 25 points.
The Philippine team tried to win the game even though Chris Newsome and Cliff Hodge were not given permit to play in the game due to eligibility issues.
Former NBA player Diamond Stone scored 23 points, while Allen Durham contributed 20 points and Baser Amer had 18 points. Sadly, it was not enough for the team.
However, it is still not too late for Meralco Bolts to bounce back. The Bolts will take on Alvark Tokyo on Friday, September 28.
