Pro-Duterte blogger Drew Olivar has been making rounds again online after his viral video telling student activists from University of the Philippines to commit “suicide” has resurfaced online as reported by CNN Philippines.

KAMI has learned on Twitter that Youth for Mental Health Coalition, Inc. Chairman RJ Naguit posted a video involving Olivar’s viral video to promote mental health awareness in the country.

According to Naguit’s caption, “Various groups have been working so hard to fight the stigma and promote responsible means of reporting mental health. Here you have the Pepederalismo dancer, bomb scare instigator, and PWD trivializer Drew Olivar rambling mindlessly about suicide/self-harm."

In a Facebook live video last February, Olivar stated that, “Mag-suicide kayo diyan sa school ninyo para mas okay, para mabawasan. Mag-[Oblation] kayo diyan, 'yung statue ninyo. Magbigti kayo lahat doon para matapos na talaga.”

Many netizens and mental health advocates did not like Olivar’s statement regarding suicide and self-harm. Here are some of their reactions on Twitter:

Drew Olivar is known as a good friend and co-host of Presidential Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson in some of her videos. Olivar was involved in Uson’s viral video about federalism and for mocking the sign language.

As previously reported by KAMI, Olivar also faced police charges for allegedly posting a ‘bomb threat’ on social media last September 21, amidst the 46th anniversary of martial law. Olivar posted that there were news going around that there would be bombing in EDSA which alarmed the public.

However, Department of Justice rejected the police complaint due to insufficient documents.
