Pinoy singer Rhap Salazar broke his silence over his unaired audition in the prestigious singing competition, The X-Factor UK.

KAMI learned that the Little Big Star winner auditioned in the said contest on July 22 and was even filmed with other singers across the globe.

However, the audition tape of the Pinoy singer was not aired on television for a reason that Rhap himself has yet to know.

"Last July 22nd, I was scheduled to film my Arena audition with other talented singers from different parts of the world at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London,” he wrote on his Instagram post.

"Unfortunately, my X Factor audition was not aired on television. I actually have no idea why they did not air my audition," he added.

Rhap said he sang the acoustic version of “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston and even got four yesses from the judges.

Despite attaining a standing ovation from the audience, the singer admitted that he just fell short to make it to the next round during the deliberation stage.

"I got 4 yesses from all the judges and standing ovation from everyone. Every reaction from the audience was really unexpected and memorable one,” he quipped.

"I got through the next round but I also got eliminated at the deliberation stage,” he added.

Although he failed to advance to the next stage, the singer remained hopeful and positive that more opportunities will come his way.

He also expressed that his failure in the said competition will not hinder him from continuing his passion for singing.

“I believe all things happened for a reason and there’s no reason for me to stop reaching for my dreams and doing what I love that is to sing for the world,” he positively pointed out.

“No time for giving up. Tuloy ang buhay,” he concluded.
