The Kapuso network added to the cause of netizens’ speculations that Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez will be transferring to the rival channel.
KAMI learned that the said network recently announced that it will be having a new musical-variety show entitled, “Studio 7.”
Homegrown talents of GMA-7 were pronounced part of the newest show which will air on primetime Sunday.
Including in the casts are Migo Adecer, Kate Valdez, Gabbi Garcia, Mikee Quintos, Julie Anne San Jose, Christian Bautista, and Mark Bautista.
The tandem of Donita Rose and Super Tekla together with the newest Kapuso artists such as Mavy Legaspi, Kyline Alcantara, and Rayver Cruz also made it to the cut.
However, as much as many netizens expected Regine to be part of the show, her name was not mentioned during the announcement of casts.
This caused netizens to speculate that the veteran singer is really set to leave the Kapuso network and transfer to the Kapamilya channel soon.
It can be remembered that according to earlier reports, Regine did not renew her contract with GMA-7.
The Asia’s Songbird has yet to confirm the recent allegations involving her.

Regine, or Regina Encarnacion Ansong Velasquez in real life, was born on April 22, 1970. She rose to fame after winning both the Ang Bagong Kampeon in 1984 and the Asia-Pacific Song Contest in 1989.
She also became the artist behind hit songs Kung Maibabalik Ko Lang, Urong Sulong, and Isang Lahi.
