Lani Mercado cries while recalling Bong Revilla’s affair with his ex-girlfriend

Lani Mercado poured out her heart during an interview on the ABS-CBN talk show “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”
KAMI learned that the former actress opened up about what she went through when she learned that her husband, former Senator Bong Revilla Jr., had an affair and a child with Lovely Guzman.
According to Lani, she was deeply hurt by what her husband did. However, she was able to get through the pain by remembering that she was accepted by her half-siblings even though she came from the second relationship of her mom.
“Siyempre sa una normal na magagalit ka kasi masakit yun eh. Pinagtaksilan ka eh at may bunga yung pagtataksil na yun.
“Pero as time goes by, inisip ko kasi that I also came from a second family. I came from a second relationship of my mom. Inaccept ako ng mga kapatid ko,” Lani said.
She then narrated the first time she met Luigi Revilla, Bong’s son with Lovely.
“First, ano yan eh, tsismis lang, naririnig-rinig lang. I spoke to the mother once over a telephone conversation, tapos namatay ang mother-in-law ko 1998.
“Luigi was brought to the house kasi dun ang burol ng mother-in-law ko. He was around 2 years old. But Bong told me that he would be visiting my mother-in-law.
“So when he first came into the room sa bahay namin, parang nag-melt na yung heart ko so I embraced the boy,” she explained.
Lani then revealed that Lovely was Bong’s girlfriend before her and that their relationship was rekindled after Bong and Lani lost their daughter Maria Alexandra in 1991.
“Although, siguro this is the first time na sasabihin ko ‘to sa publiko, the mother of Luigi was Bong’s former girlfriend, before me, so I would understand the relationship.
“The relationship rekindled after I lost my daughter, noong 1991. So it was very difficult for me because I just lost a child.
“And when I was talking to her, I was explaining to her na, ‘You still have a way out kasi you’re not married. I am here for life and I’m here to stay. So whatever you have with my husband, I hope ma-realize mo na hindi ito maganda,’” Lani narrated.
She added that she has no problem being called a martyr for staying with Bong because the reason she stayed was her love for him and their children.
“Maraming beses. I am here, siyempre because I love my children. I love my family, I love Bong. And that’s really the reason why I am here for them,” the former actress explained.

Bong’s son with Lovely, Luigi Revilla, has a new movie coming out with Jolo and Bryan Revilla, Bong’s sons with Lani.
The action movie is called “Tres” and it will be released nationwide on October 5, 2018.
