Businesswoman Kathy Dupaya now imprisoned for a case filed by Joel Cruz

Brunei-based businesswoman Kathy Dupaya got arrested by Taguig City PNP for a case filed by the “Lord of Scent,” Joel Cruz.
KAMI learned that the said businesswoman is now facing a libel-connected case called Grave Oral Defamation.
Grave Oral Defamation is a case against someone who makes false, derogatory statements regarding an individual's character, reputation, morals, business practices, or financial status.
By virtue of the Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Andy De Vera of the Manila Municipal Trial Court Branch 28, Kathy was arrested and is now detained in the headquarters of Taguig City Police Station in Tuktukan, Taguig.
It can be remembered that in June, Joel filed a Php20-million libel complaint against the businesswoman because she accused him of selling expired perfumes.
Kathy even insisted that the Lord of Scent has deficiencies in proper government documents.
All of these accusations were bravely denied by Joel.
Aside from the cases filed by the owner of Afficionado, Kathy is also facing an Estafa complaint filed by actress Sunshine Cruz because the businesswoman allegedly did not pay the actress the amount of Php40 million.
In a previous article by , Kathy responded to the allegations of Joel, Sunshine, and other actresses who got involved in their business deal.
According to Philnews.com, Kathy is tagged as “the lady who brings stars to Brunei.” She is also branded as the luckiest person in the world because she won the lottery for three times already.
