- Wil Dasovich pranked American childhood friend and her buddy
- He planned to get them to swim in Pasig River to highlight just how polluted it is
- They ended up jumping ignoring the foul smell of the polluted water
After a short clip was shown in National Geographic showing a waste-filled stream flowing from the Pasig River, many Filipinos were alarmed and one of them is the YouTuber Wil Dasovich.
The vlogger believes he needs to do something to raise the awareness and to at least remind people of the importance of taking care of the environment, and that the river could still be saved.
He was supposed to prank his American childhood friend and her buddy by trying to get them swim in Pasig river. He expected them to back out because of the foul smell of the water.
Turned out his friends enjoyed swimming with the kids while they were filming the experience.
"Hindi man lang nila napansin na ang baho, ang dumi. They're just having fun," he said.
However, despite the failed prank, the video still caught the attention of the netizens and agreed that it is indeed a must to take action to save the river.
"It could become that again if we all just do our part," Wil claimed. "One of the biggest issues in the Philippines is definitely its human impact on the environment."
"It's easy to blame the government or private sectors, but at the end of the day it really comes down to us. And without discipline, there won't be progress."

The video gained a lot of number of views since it was uploaded. Wil was back again in the country after going back home in the US because he was diagnosed of colon cancer. He stayed positive despite his illness and triumphed after months of medications and medical procedures.
