Kapamilya actor James Reid proudly revealed that he is undergoing special preparation for his upcoming movie, “Pedro Penduko.”
KAMI learned that aside from practicing his lines, the promising actor has been training a lot on his own for the iconic role.
James expressed that he doesn’t want to have doubles in fight scenes that is why he opts to strengthen his body and stamina.
“I want the fight scenes to be me, I don’t want to ask for doubles,” the On the Wings of Love star said.
“It’s really intense honestly from Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts thing and training for the weapons of Pedro Penduko,” he added.
The actor also explained that he is really pleasured to be chosen as the Pedro Penduko of this generation because of the movie’s social relevance.
“It’s a movie that has social relevance, a touch of what’s happening in the Philippines. I can’t wait for the audience to see this super hero movie,” he further remarked.
It can be remembered that during the 90’s, actor Janno Gibs played the role as Pedro. Matt Evans eventually became the next celebrity to play the iconic role on television.
In a previous article by KAMI, it was reported that James was tapped to portray the Pedro role and even give twist to the character.
James is a Filipino-Australian singer, actor, and dancer. He was hailed as the Grand Winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash of 2010 and eventually starred with partner Nadine Lustre in movies such as Diary ng Panget, Beauty and the Bestie, and Never Not Love You.
