TNT’s Terrence Romeo talks about his heated exchange with Dyip’s Rashawn McCarty

It was an intense match between Talk 'N Text (TNT) and Columbian Dyip in PBA Governor’s Cup on Sunday, September 3.

KAMI learned from Inquirer that the basketball game heated up during the last two minutes of the game’s over time. TNT guard Terrence Romeo was caught in a barking with Dyip gunner, Rashawn McCarthy. Romeo even served a headbutt to McCarthy.

Of course, Romeo was charged with technical foul. He even went back to McCarthy after beating him with a lay-up.

After the game, Romeo had something to say to the incident.

According to him, “Yung samin ni Rashawn, konting trash talk lang. Syempre close fight, di mo maiiwasan yun,"

Romeo even said that it was nothing personal and he is friends with McCarthy.

“Pero magkaibigan kami, I mean nagbabatian kami although di kami nagsasama ng matagal. Nothing is personal, kung ano nangyari sa court, stay lang sa court,” Romeo added.

The TNT player also explained what happened during the game.

He said, "Si Rashawn naman kumbaga, di naman siya dirty player. Siguro nadala lang. Gusto ko manalo, gusto rin niya Manalo."

"Eh nagkakiskisan ng konti, syempre pareho namin di nagustuhan. Part lang ng game. Pero para magalit kami sa isa't-isa na personal, walang ganun,” he added.

But all is well at the end of the game, the two was even caught sharing an embrace and a small talk. TNT dominated Columbian Dyip with a score of 118-114.
