Kapamilya celebrity Darren Espanto could not contain his happiness while expressing thoughts about his latest achievement.
KAMI learned that Darren is part of the new KathNiel movie, “The Hows of Us,” as Kathryn Bernardo’s brother.
The celebrity admitted that he underwent major adjustments since his role in the said movie is also the start of his career in acting.
“It’s very different from singing and I’m very grateful and I’m very happy sa first acting gig ko po sila po agad,” he explained.
“Kasama ko sina direk Cathy, KathNiel the whole cast and I’m glad I get to work with them,” he added.
Darren also shared that he plans to strive harder by starting to attend in workshops to expand and be better in his acting skills.
“I’d like to do it again kung makakapag-workshop ako. Kasi hindi po ako nakapag-workshop. I guess mas maho-hone ko 'yung pag-acting din,” he expressed.
If he is given another opportunity, the young Kapamilya singer said he wants to work with his The Voice coach, Sarah Geronimo.
“Sana makatrabaho ko 'yung coach ko nung 'The Voice Kids,' si Ate Sarah Geronimo,” he excitedly said.
In a previous article by KAMI, Darren got backed up by veteran singer Jed Madela against those who bashed him about his performance in “It’s Showtime.”
Born on May 24, 2001, Darren is a Filipino-Canadian singer who became the runner up in The Voice Kids Season 1.
At his young age, he already won several recognitions including the Most Outstanding Teen Artist of the Year by EdukCircle in 2017 and Promising Male Concert Performer of the Year during the Box Office Entertainment Awards this year.
