- Mocha Uson’s federalism video drew criticisms
- PCOO officials asked Pres. Duterte to remove Mocha from PCOO
- There has been no response yet from the offices
After the controversial video on federalism, nine Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) officials urged President Rodrigo Duterte to remove Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson from the office.
Uson posted a “racy video” of giving a lecture about federalism with blogger Drew Olivar. The blogger even made a jingle while covering his crotch and his chest. The controversial video sparked different criticisms from the netizens.
Based on a report by GMA News, a letter made by the officials addressed to President Duterte has been forwarded to the offices of Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go.
As stated in the letter, Uson must be removed from PCOO because she allegedly violated Section 4(b) of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (Republic Act 6713), which enjoins government officials and employees to “observe the highest degree of excellence, professionalism, intelligence, and skill” while working in the office.
There has been no comments or response yet from the different offices regarding this matter.

Despite the criticisms she received, Asec. Mocha Uson refused to apologize for the video.
In an interview by UNTV, Uson said, “If you want me to apologize, I will because I know that you are a true person. Pero hindi ako mag-aapologize lang dahil hindi ninyo ako gusto,”
President Duterte was “cool” about the video. However, the Palace preferred for more serious and better platform in educating the public on federalism.
From being an entertainer to being a pro-Duterte blogger, Mocha Uson started working in PCOO last May 2017.
