The actor had his hiatus from acting for two years and focused on his studies instead. However, it was also an eye opening moment for him that his passion is really acting.

"Doon ko talaga na-realize na gusto ko pa lang umarte.”

"Yung time na nag-aaral lang ako… na-realize ko na ang passion ko talaga is to act,” he added.

Manolo recently transferred to the GMA network as suggested by his manager Jun Reyes. He told Jun that he wanted to come back to showbiz.

“Yun, tinawagan po ako ng manager ko na si Jun Reyes, I told him that I want to go back to showbiz.”

“Sabi niya, ‘Manolo, why don’t you try GMA?” said the actor.

At first, his choice was to go back to ABS-CBN where he started his career.

"First choice ko po talaga was to go back to ABS-CBN since doon naman po talaga ako nag-start,” said Manolo.

"Pero yun nga po, sabi ni Kuya Jun bakit hindi namin i-try ang GMA,” he added.

"Sabi ko, ‘Why not, that’s a different opportunity.’

"And that’s how you get an opportunity talaga, so here I am now as a Kapuso.”, he proudly shared.

"Siyempre, very grateful pa rin ako sa ABS, doon po ako nanggaling from PBB.

"Doon ako nabigyan ng break and very grateful pa rin po," he said.
