- Agatha Wong, a Pinay wushu athlete, won her first bronze medal in her first try in the Asian Games, this year in Jakarta, Indonesia

- The 20-year-old athlete taijiquan and taijijian categories in the wushu competition

- She was able to garner a total of 19.36 points, placing third behind Juanita Mok Uen Ying from Hong Kong (19.42), the silver medalist, and gold medalist Lindswell of Indonesia (19.50)

For the very first time in her very first entry to Asian Games, indeed, the many firsts in Agatha Wong's career, have brought great pride to Filipinos once again. This was preceded by her gold medal win in tajiquan in the SEA Games.

KAMI recently learned about the report today, which officially announced her first win in both categories in the Asian Games 2018.

As well, this has also crystallized her success in wushu, as for both categories (tajiquan and tajijian), she was able to bag bronze medals and is hopeful for other upcoming international games and competitions.

As early as 20 years old, Wong has now stamped her mark in the industry as well, being a proud Philippine representative in Jakarta, held at the Jakarta International Expo.

"I feel also relieved kasi tapos na ako (I'm done), and my hard work has paid off." She said during an interview with international media.

Agatha was able to garner an overall score of 19.36 points for the two categories. Marching behind Juanita Mok Uen Ying from Hong Kong (19.42), the silver medalist, and gold medalist Lindswell of Indonesia (19.50), Wong is more than thankful for such a stunning achievement.

"For me, I just had no expectations. I just wanted to do my best and I think I did my best, so I think that's worth it na din." Wong added in the same interview.

"I just always keep a very positive mindset and that has taken me places already ever since SEA Games and World Championships." She ended a big smile.
