Veteran singer and actor Ogie Alcasid disclosed to public how he became affected by the issue involving him and co-actor Billy Crawford.
KAMI learned that the issue Ogie was talking about was the hosting of the show, “Little Big Shots” in 2017.
He explained that ABS-CBN originally wanted him to be the host of the said show but its franchise owner requested a younger celebrity to play the role.
Ogie then knew that Billy was chosen to replace him as part of the variety television series.
“I guess noong last year, nag-doubt ako sa sarili ko. Kasi, may show noon na ako dapat ang host, si Billy ang napili. Naramdaman ko yun na parang hindi ako magaling,” he admitted.
The actor also shared that his wife, Regine Velasquez, felt sad when he told her about the bad news.
“Mas sobra siyang excited sa show na yun. So I said, 'Honey, hindi ko nakuha yung show. Sabi niya, what?!' Lungkot na lungkot siya nun, e,” he reiterated.
“But you know, it’s good that you experience it. Mari-realize mo na hindi ka perpekto. At may mga bagay na hindi para sa ‘yo,” he explained.
The Tawag ng Tanghalan judge, however, said that he realized the Lord had a better plan for him.
“In hindsight, hindi pala ko nilalagay ni Lord dun,” Ogie shared.
“Mas gusto pala Niya kong mag-Showtime at saka yung music ko, dun pala Niya ko gustong ilagay, then Home Sweetie Home,” he added.
