Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte will hold its Grand Rally in Luneta in Manila, but Duterte supporters will also reportedly gather in SRP Cebu and Davao Crocodile Park.
Today is the final stretch of the presidential campaign capping the 90-day rule under the COMELEC guidelines. Presidential rallies are concentrated in Metro Manila, including the Duterte Grand Rally. However, this has not prevented Duterte supporters in Visayas and Mindanao to hold rallies simultaneously.
Throngs of supporters of the presidential aspirant amounting to 300,000 are expected to flock in Quirino Grandstand. According to a blog, there will be an attempt to obtain a Guinness World Record of most number of people singing the national anthem at the same time.
Supporters are encouraged to wear blue and red as the colors of the Philippine flag to show support to the mayor. There are also reports saying that some supporters of the Davao City mayor with cars will offer rides to fellow supporters.
While it is still unknown if the Duterte camp will hold a live stream of the Grand Rally in Luneta, but the media will surely cover the event.
