Breastfeeding is indeed a choice. It is nice to see celebrities who share their nursing struggles and triumphs. Here are some of inspiring celebrity moms who have committed to breastfeeding.
The TV host, singer/actress breastfed her eldest child Pele for almost 3 years. Now that she is nursing her second child, Vika, she aims to do the same.
"Gaya ni Pele dati, everyday kasama ko si Vika kahit may work kasi pure breastfed siya. Kaya 'pag may mga naiipon akong breastmilk para sa kanya mas nababawasan ang worries ko. Ang lagi kong dasal, magawa kong may ma-pump pa na madaming milk hanggang three years or more para makapag-donate na rin ulit ako," said Jolina.
Bianca breastfed for 2 years although she shared how hard she struggled. She is now expecting her second baby and she will definitely not give up on breastfeeding so easily.
She is breastfeeding for more than a year and a half now.
"I could have stopped during my lowest, and be traumatized at the thought of breastfeeding another baby someday; thankfully, I decided to stick with it—finally, our storm has passed, and we are on a smooth journey."
Drew Arellano's sweetheart had breastfed for more than a year. She is about to give birth to her second son, Leon.
Kylie pushed through with breastfeeding for a year now though she is back to work. Though she planned to breastfeed her son for just a year, she is now reconsidering waiting for Alas to wean from breastfeeding.
"It’s more about the bond, that I can’t let go of. Apart from the struggles, breastfeeding is one of my favorite things about being mama," she wrote.
Jennica breastfed Mori, her eldest for more than a year and is currently breastfeeding her 2nd daughter Alessi. In previous interviews, Jennica said she is willing to do tandem breastfeeding if she needs to.
The actress had been exclusively breastfeeding her daughter Nala for 10 months now.
"All the pain was truly worth it. 10 months and counting, I now share a beautiful bond with my daughter that’s too precious and incomparable," she wrote.
The beauty queen mommy hopes that her breastfeeding journey will be much easier with her second child. She had breastfed her first baby for 6 months.
"I'm hoping and praying that my breastfeeding journey will be much easier this time around," Shamcey said.
The proud mommy had been exclusively breastfeeding (no bottles!) her daughter Adalynn Riley for six months now and counting. She plans to nurse her baby for a year or even more.
She donated her excess milk which soothed her a bit after losing her daughter Luna. The other twin, Pancho is now 6 months old. Saab is determined to overcome all the struggles that may still come her way.
Isabelle had been breastfeeding her son Baltie despite her active lifestyle. The celebrity mom has been breastfeeding her son for almost four months now.
Being a mom is indeed a very rewarding feeling seeing how you can nurture a small little creature into an active toddler and into a well-mannered grown up. But breastfeeding should never be a cause of disappointment to some mothers who somehow was not able to successfully breastfeed their child.
