Vhong Navarro opened up about Deniece Cornejo after the complaints filed by the latter against him were junked by the DOJ.
KAMI learned that Vhong gave an explanation on why he cheated on his longtime partner Tanya Bautista and had an affair with Deniece.
According to his interview with PEP.ph, Vhong said that his success made him think that he could get whatever he wanted.
"Sa akin kasi, di ba, kailangan mo kasing… siguro dahil tumaas ang lipad [ko]. Kailangan Niya akong bigyan ng leksiyon…
"Siguro para sa sarili ko, yung masyado akong naging bilib sa sarili ko.
“Kung ano yung nakikita ko, kung ano ang [gusto] ko, baka puwede kong makuha agad. Siguro hinumble Niya ako ulit.
“Kaya nga every time ngayon na nagdadasal ako, sinasabi ko talaga, ‘Lord, sana huwag Niyong palalakihin ang ulo ko. Sana marunong pa rin akong tumingin sa pinanggalingan ko.’ Laging ganun.
“Kahit sinasabi ng iba, ‘Hindi ka naman ganun.’ Pero hindi natin alam. Basta pagkatiwala mo sa Kanya lahat. Lahat naman, Siya nakakaalam niyan, e.
"Siya ang nagbigay niyan. Kung gusto Niyang kunin iyan, Siya rin kukuha niyan,” Vhong admitted.
In a previous report by KAMI, Vhong also got emotional after Deniece and her accomplice Cedric Lee were found guilty of grave coercion against the comedian.
Vhong is one of the pioneer hosts of the Kapamilya program “It’s Showtime,” along with Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis and Jhong Hilario.
He has two sons – Frederick and Isaiah. His current partner is ABS-CBN writer Tanya Bautista.
