American couple adopts limbless Filipino baby girl, touches people's hearts all over the world

An American couple from Utah touches hearts of millions when they chose to adopt a limbless girl from the Philippines.
KAMI learned about the adoption, which happened about four years ago. Though, it took quite a while for the couple to finally be with Maria, their fourth child, as well as with their son Joshua.
The beautiful family also made a Facebook page called Stewart Family, where they post their journeys and simple joys that make them proud of their family and bonding together.
The Chosen Children Village in Silang, Cavite, was where baby Maria was found by the couple, although doing missionary activities is not new to Jason Stewart back then.
"Back about 15, 16 years ago, I [had] lived in the Philippines as a missionary and I fell in love with the people and the culture...It felt right for us to adopt in the Philippines..."
Right then and there, he and his wife Adrienne already knew that Chosen Children Village would be their one stop at having angels in their family.
At the time they received a monthly email from the agency in liaison with CCV Silang, they browsed through pictures and Maria's was the first one to appear. They knew right there and then that she was the one.
"She had one of the most beautiful smiles and at the time we weren’t really planning on adopting a special needs child but we just fell in love with her. We just knew we needed her to be part of our family."
The couple was also interviewed by Karen Davila on ANC, about Joshua and Maria. They said that it's heartbreaking to know that a child will be growing up without a family.
Jason and Adrienne admitted that it wouldn't be easy dealing with a child with special needs, but according to them, it greatly changed their lives forever.
"Special needs adoption has changed our family forever."
