In an Instagram post, Gretchen Barretto seem to imply that she she has no regrets severing ties with people who put her down.
She did not mention any name but netizens were quick to react to this and assume this post is alluding to what happened to their family.
The Barrettos were divided with siblings Marjorie, Mito, Michelle, and Jay-Jay taking Gretchen's side, while sister Gia and their parents, Inday and Miguel, stood by Claudine.
Her post reads, “Cutting people out of my life doesn't mean I hate them.
“It means I respect myself.”
Marjorie and Gretchen was in good terms until the last quarter of 2014 when the news about a rift between them broke because of Gretchen's alleged lack of support for niece Julia Barretto.
In a previous report by KAMI, Gretchen asked forgiveness from her niece Claudia Barretto for bashing her on social media.
In January 2015, Gretchen admitted the “silent war” between her and Marjorie through an exclusive interview with PEP.
Despite everything, Gretchen and Claudine came to each other’s defense on social media on some occasions.
In June 2018, Claudine took to Instagram to show a photo of her reunion with Gretchen’s daughter Dominique Cojuangco at a fashion gala.
