In the reports of ABS-CBN News, President Rodrigo Duterte said that his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, will not run for any national post.
KAMI learned that on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, the President of the Philippines said that his daughter, Sara Duterte-Carpio, will not seek for any post in the national seats.
According to the speech of President Rodrigo Duterte during the '68th National Security Council and 69th National Intelligence Coordinating Agency founding anniversary celebration in Pasay City:
“Okay ako, wala akong problema. Ang anak ko, si Inday, I can tell you I know her. Hindi magtatakbo ‘yan ng national. Ganun lang ‘yan."
The president reportedly made this statement as he recently emphasized that he now apparently favors a law banning political.
According to the report, the President supports provision on anti-dynasty but apparently sees people rejecting it.
The report continued to express that Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has been allegedly timid about her plans for the 2019 elections.
Though the report says, Inday Sara previously said earlier that she's going to seek for reelection as Davao City Mayor as she reportedly wants to continue her "priority projects" in the said city.
Perhaps speculations heightened as according to the news, in the recent senatorial poll conducted by Pulse Asia, Inday Sara reportedly landed in the 3rd to 5th places with 46.2 of respondents expressing that they would vote for her.
