- Kuwaiti social media influencer Sondos Alqattan is getting bashed for her comments about OFWs
- Alqattan slammed the new law in Kuwait which permits OFWs to hold on to their passports
- She also complained about OFWs getting a day off weekly
A social media star in Kuwait is in hot waters due to the comments she made about a new law in her country which permits overseas Filipino workers to keep their passports and have a day off every week.
KAMI learned that social media influencer Sondos Alqattan said that she does not want to have Filipino maids anymore due to the law.
"How can you have a 'servant' in your house who gets to keep their passport with them?
"And what's worse is they have one day off every week.
"If they ran away and went back to their country, who'll refund me? Honestly, I disagree with this law. I don't want a Filipino maid anymore," she said, according to ABS-CBN News.
Alqattan has 2.1 million followers on Instagram, where she has disabled the comments section due to the backlash of her comments against OFWs.
She describes herself as a makeup artist and a beauty lover in her IG page.
In an earlier report by KAMI, a Filipina in Saudi Arabia was reported to be the first ever Pinay to secure a driving license in that country.
