Nonito Donaire has spent a lot of years getting hit, punched and bloodied as a professional boxer.
KAMI learned that all of his sacrifices were not in vain, as he opened his new business venture with his wife Rachel in San Diego, USA.
Their business is a restaurant called Dominic’s Table.
“Welcome to Dominic's Table! Our new fusion style, worldly international menu that is ever changing with different food offerings that'll make you coming back! So many options, from sushi, to Italian, to Korean, to Filipino inspired and of course kids dishes! Could you guess which dish is named after me? Come find out,” Nonito wrote.
His wife also spoke about the sacrifices they have made in order to build their business.
“Every single one of our ventures has taken alot of blood, sweat and tears and there really is no ‘Monday’ or 9-5 for entrepreneurs. But in the end, when its finally all said and done and everything finally comes together, its completely breathtaking and worth it! Welcome to Dominic's Table in La Jolla, San Diego CA. Come visit for an ever rotating menu of international worldly tastes.”
In an earlier report by KAMI, Nonito lost his title to Jessie Magdaleno.
Nonito is considered as one of the greatest Filipino fighters of all time, along with Manny Pacquiao, Pancho Villa, Flash Elorde and Donnie Nietes.
He is a four-weight division champion, winning titles in the featherweight, super bantamweight, bantamweight and flyweight division.
His most important wins are against Vic Darchinyan and Fernando Montiel.
