On Monday, Eat Bulaga regular Sebastian Arumpa got hospitalized due to dengue fever.
KAMI learned how this has instantly saddened the close friends and thousands of Kapuso fans of the child wonder, popularly known as “Bae-by Baste.” This exponentially gained so much attention on social media moments after the news broke out.
That’s why, without a doubt, Kapusos all over the country couldn’t help but worry about his condition as well as that of his younger brother Sam. Sebastian’s official fan page @iambaebybaste recently posted a photo collage of him in his hospital bed and an SMS screenshot indicating Sam’s high fever that had gone up to 38 degrees Celsius.
His mom, Shiela Arumpa, the IG account handler, also captioned how heartbreaking it is to be a mom of two, whose sons are both sick—one in the hospital and the younger one at home. She also shared how eating ice cream could solve her worries. Check out her time lapse video below, with her son Sam, cozy in their sofa.
Via GMA Network’s Twitter handle, fans gave their prayers and outpouring love for the child star.
A video call screenshot of Baste and Alden was also posted on the fan page’s Instagram, with the caption, “Morning call from Kuya @aldenrichards02 kay nangumusta.” They only prove how close they are, treating each other as brothers. Alden and Baste regularly visit each other’s homes during normal times and even when their schedules get tighter.
We all really do hope for the Pambansang Bae-by’s fast recovery, the soonest!
Dubbed as a mini Alden Richards, because of his striking mestizo looks, chubby rosy cheeks, bubbly and witty personality, the celebrity baby has successfully touched millions of Filipinos’ hearts, which paved the way to his catapulting TV and online stardom.
Child star Sebastian Granfon Arumpa, originally from General Santos City, was an instant online sensation when his aunts had posted his first DubSmash videos on Facebook that straightaway grew viral. The child wonder first started as a guest on “The Ryzza Mae Show,” as a way for TAPE, Inc., the production company behind Eat Bulaga, to test the waters for Baste. This subsequently led to his follow-up TV appearances and later on, to his very first movie with big Kapuso Stars Vic Sotto, co-child star Ryzza Mae Dizon, among others.
