There are some Filipino netizens who have been enraged by a supposed tweet, allegedly from Australia’s Chris Goulding.
The tweet supposedly shows Chris slamming Filipinos and the country.
KAMI learned that the truth behind the “tweet” has been revealed.
However, ABS-CBN sports and Spin report that Grant Richardson, the media manager of Basketball Australia, said that the tweet was photoshopped.
"I can categorically state that tweet is not real and is 100 percent photoshopped," Richardson said.
Goulding was part of the infamous brawl with Gilas Pilipinas, getting the knocked down to the floor by RR Pogoy.
The brawl occurred during the third quarter of the game, when Australia was leading by 31 points.
When Australia’s Daniel Kickert had a physical altercation with Roger Pogoy, the other Gilas players tried to defend their teammate.
There are speculations that the Gilas team might be suspended by FIBA due to the unfortunate incident.
