Christopher "Boyet" de Leon was among the many celebrities who paid their respect to the award winning actor Eddie Garcia. He commented about the news about Eddie Garcia to be named as a National Artist.
"National Artist? Ba't 'di niyo binigay nu'ng buhay pa siya? 'Di ba? He could have appreciated that when he was still alive, and now he’s up there...beyond. Ya, why not, sure. But it could have been better when he was still alive, if we did this when he was still alive...," he said.
He also added that Eddie has the credentials to be named as a Naional Artist.
"Ya, why not sure, he is, talagang ano, all the credentials are there as a National Artist. He’s a very good, he won a lot of awards as a director as an actor, as a writer, ya, why not," he said.
Christopher had the chance to work with Eddie in the movie"Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang" where Eddie portrayed the role of his character's father.
