Zsa Zsa Padilla has something to say to all her age-shaming critics: She knows she's old, she's 54 and proud!
In an interview on the show "Tonight with Boy Abunda", Zsa Zsa recalled one incident where in she experienced age shaming. She narrated, one commenter left harse remarks on a picture, which showcases her fingers.
That happened in April, Zsa Zsa was called "kulubot" by a follower on Instagram, upon noticing her supposedly wrinkly fingers. Defensively, she replied that there's nothing wrong with it and its a common thing.
She wrote that it was a "natural process I'd like to enjoy going through."
During the interview, Zsa Zsa reiterated that while youth is a premium especially in the industry like hers, the mindset among fans should change, especially when it resorts to bullying and shaming--whether it is about body figure of age.
Zsa Zsa expressed, "No one should be shamed for getting older."
"I want people to know that I do know that I'm 54, and I know that I'm old. And I'm proud of my age," she said. "Would you do that to your mom? Would you do that to your lola? 'Di ba hindi mo naman gaganunin 'yung mga mahal mo sa buhay eh," she added.
Zsa Zsa has been around the show business for over three decades. She has seen many artists come and go, yet she remains one to be the most looked up to singers across generations. She is a mainstay at ASAP, which airs every sunday.
