Gary Valenciano’s wife Angeli Pangilinan and his son Paolo Valenciano both gave updates on the current condition of the beloved singer.
KAMI learned that Gary has been discharged from the intensive care unit (ICU) but is still under a lot of pain at times after undergoing an open heart surgery.
“My dad is doing fine now, he’s recovering. According to the doctor, sabi nila for someone his age na may diabetes, he’s really improved a lot. There’s a miracle raw talaga kasi hindi nila naisip na ganun kabilis ang recovery niya.
“Although, from time to time, he still feels ‘yung tightness sa chest niya and may severe pain pa rin, but thank God, today he’s able to walk na so nakalabas na siya ng ICU today,” Paolo explained in an interview with PUSH.
Angeli also posted on Instagram about her husband, saying that he is doing all he can to recover as quickly as possible.
She also revealed that Gary’s condition was indeed life-threatening and that the doctor told them that Gary could have lost his life while dancing and performing on ASAP.
Aside from his heart problem, Gary also has type 1 diabetes.
He has three children with Angeli – Paolo, Gab Valenciano and Kiana Valenciano.
Gary and his wife will celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary this year.
