James Yap defended his birthday greeting for his son Bimby Yap, that became comtroversial recently.
He had an exclusive interview with PEP over the phone on Tuesday, April 24.
KAMI learned that James doesn't want to comment on the issue, but he also wanted to clear his intentions when he posted his birthday greeting for Bimby.
According to James, as Bimby's father, he has the right to greet his son on his birthday.
"Birthday ng anak ko, grineet ko lang naman.
"Wala naman yatang masama dun kapag i-greet mo yung sarili mong anak.
"Tsaka na-miss ko siya. Wala naman atang masama dun... sariling tatay mag-greet sa sariling anak."
The basketball star doesn't want to comment on his ex-wife's statements and he just wanted to focus on their upcoming game, PBA Commissioner’s Cup this Friday, April 27.
"Basta ako, ano lang, focus ako sa game ko. Friday, may game na."
