- Derek Ramsay is once again a Kapamilya
- His first project under the ABS-CBN management is a movie with Paulo Avelino and Bea Alonzo
- He revealed that back when he transferred to another station, he was set to make a film with his leading lady, but was canceled because of the shift, causing their friendship to be tainted
Derek Ramsay is back as a Kapamilya.
As he prepares for a new movie under Star Cinema, Derek expressed how much he missed being an artist of ABS-CBN.
“It’s nice to see familiar faces walking along the ABS halls. It’s definitely nice to see everybody again and to work with friends and other actors,” Derek said.
He also shared a 'funny' story of how he found out Bea Alonzo felt a little bit hurt when he decided to tranfer to TV5 in 2012. Derek told the interviewers that they were close friends back then, and were scheduled to do a movie together.
“Sabi niya sa akin at first, nagtatampo daw siya sa akin kasi I moved to TV5 and we had that movie together [na hindi natuloy]," he narrated.
However, they patched up things and are back to normal. Derek has nothing but good words to say to the Kapamilya A-list actress. "She hasn’t changed a bit. She’s still humble. She’s still a brilliant actress. We were able to kind of catch up on things when we were in Cebu. We caught up on the years that we didn’t see each other and she hasn’t changed,” he added.
Bea and Derek are working together for a movie entitled 'Kasal', together with Paulo Avelino. Derek has worked with them on separate TV series “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon” with Paulo in 2014, and “Magkaribal” with Bea in 2010. Derek and Bea also starred in the romantic drama “And I Love You So” back in 2009.
