All-star basketball brothers Jeric and Jeron Teng made a name for themselves in court not just because of their good looks and talent in sports--it's also because of their golden heart that thrives to help as much as they can.
Through ABS-CBN's "Rated K", the Teng Brothers granted a dream of a 14 year-old boy who thought who had lost his dream of being a basketball star like them.
Jiero Samson lost one of his legs back when he was nine years-old after being ran over by a car. Five years after the incident, Jiero lived a life full of regret and misery, as he was bullied by some people.
The UAAP turned PBA players gave him an artificial leg to help him boost his confidence and help him reach his dream of playing basketball, like his idols.
“Mga atleta talaga di maiwasan ang mga injuries minsan. Alam namin yung feeling na maging depressed ka talaga," Jeron said in the interview.
Thanks to the artificial leg sponsorship, Jiero can now play basketball again.
“Dapat po ‘wag inaasar ang mga may kapansanan para po lalong lumakas ang loob nila,” Jiero said when asked what can he say to the youth.
Jeron and Jeric were inspired by Jiero's story.
“After nakilala ka namin mas na-appreciate pa namin ang paglalaro ng basketball. Naging inspirasyon ka namin," Jeric expressed.
