Though Presidential son Sebastian 'Baste' Duterte is very much similar to his father, President Rodrigo Duterte for being straightforward in answering questions, he still has no plans in entering the world of politics.

KAMI learned that among President Digong's children, Baste is the only one who has no inclination in politics.

"Sa amin naman tatlong magkakapatid... I mean, apat kami na siblings, ako lang yung wala sa politics, walang experience.

"I mean, sa campaign sumali ako. I helped my father, but that was it."

"After that, I went out of the scene, out of the political scene because that was not my type," he added.

"I have no political plans.

"Hindi naman that I don’t consider because I need to plan things out, pero yung inclination ko, hindi talaga doon papunta.

"As much sa possible, gusto ko talaga iwasan, kasi wala, e, magulo"

"Tapos yung family ko, ganyan na sila. Nandiyan na sila so I got used to it na,"

"Hindi mo na alam kung sino ang mga kinakausap mo.

"Mga tao na nakakasalubong mo, kasi may bias na lahat, di ba?

"It comes along with the status I have now. I need to be conscious."

He was also asked about the possible reason that he might change his mind in entering politics.

"Kailangan, may cause talaga, any particular cause, kung hahanapin ako ng tao.

"Ewan ko... I really do not know.

"Pero mailalagay mo lang ako diyan kung may cause.

"Pero kung sarili ko lang, bakit ko naman papasukin?" he explained.

Also, in the same interview with Pep, Baste was also asked about his advocacy.

"Wala naman talaga akong advocacy. Hindi naman talaga ako yung super active,"

"Ano lang, I just use social media, post something about the environment… a lot of things,"

"But I don’t really take too much attention on advocacies because I’m not in public service, you know,"

"I’m still a civilian, ganoon lang. I still value my private life."

Baste already have several endorsements but admits that he is also considering so many things before he accepts offer of endorsing such products.

Usually, he personally knew the owner of the product that is why he accepts the endorsement.

Baste also had a show with TV 5 last year. 'Lakbai' is a documentary hosted by Baste but after that, it was not yet followed by another project in the same network.

"Siguro kung talagang maganda yung ipapalabas nila, yung content, mas particular ako sa mga project when it comes to content.

"Kung ano ang ipapalabas nila, gusto ko may impact.

"If ever, kung puwede talaga. Hindi yung purely for showbiz lang, for commercial just to strengthen a brand.

Baste is the youngest son among President Digong's children with Elizabeth Zimmerman.

Former Vice Mayor of Davao City Paolo Duterte and incumbent Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte are his siblings.

They also have a half sister, Kitty, daughter of President Digong to Honeylet Avanceña.
