The screenshot showing Garcia's comment on a swimsuit photo posted by Dane, through private message, saying, "Art shot."
This made JoshLia fans react and accused him of infidelity but Joshua stood firm saying that he was not trying to flirt with the girl but it was just a mere compliment.
Garcia tearfully admitted that what he did hurt Julia and caused a misunderstanding between them.
Joshua owned up mto his actions and apologized to Julia. They managed to patch things up.
Julia's father, Dennis reacted to this issue though an interview with ABS-CBN.
"Kumusta, nagkikita pa ba kayo ni Joshua?" This was what Dennis asked Julia during the holy week.
Julia said they are both busy but Dennis noticed Julia seemed to avoid talking about the topic so he decided not to push through with his plan of talking about the issue.
While Dennis watched Joshua's interview with Tonight with Boy Abunda, his interview with Mahgandang Buhay while he was giving a message for Joshua came back to his mind.
Padilla asked Joshua not to hurt Jul;ia in the said interview.
On June 2017, on Father's day, Joshua and Dennis first met and he shared about their conversation.
Iba 'yung nag-uusap nang personal, kaysa 'yung nababalitaan mo lang 'yung kuwento," he said.
Dennis also admitted he was disappointed with what Joshua did however, he added that he trusts Barretto and Garcia can resolve their situation, as they are both adults.
Mainit, e."
A reporter noticed that the commedian was teary eyed and he said, "Masama 'yung loob ko noong mga nakaraang araw, e."
Dennis however appreciated Joshua's honesty and said even he himself did some mistakes when he was still younger, "Ang kailangan, aregluhin mo agad, kasi in general, ang mga babae, mahaba ang pasensya, pero 'pag dumating doon sa punto na sagad na, wala ka nang babalikan."
"Mag-sorry lang sa akin, okay na 'yun. 'Sorry, Tito Dennis, nagkamali ako.' Pag inulit niya 'yun, magiging action star na talaga ako, wala nang makakapigil no'n, at hindi na ako nagpapatawa no'n," he said.
