- The relationship of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto went through a rough patch recently due to the allegation that the former flirted with a female netizen
- Dennis Padilla, Julia’s dad, shared his honest thoughts on the matter
- He admitted to getting disappointed at what Joshua did
Dennis Padilla finally broke his silence on the controversy surrounding his daughter Julia Barretto and her boyfriend Joshua Garcia.
KAMI learned that Dennis admitted to getting disappointed at Joshua – who was accused of flirting with a non-showbiz female netizen.
The comedian explained why he got disappointed:
“Oo naman. Siyempre anak mo ‘yun eh. ‘Di ba?” Dennis said, as quoted by PUSH from a YouTube video from StarsPhotog Vidz.
When the interviewer commented that he looked teary-eyed, Dennis explained that he has been feeling bad the past few days.
“Masama ng loob ko nung mga nakaraang araw,” he revealed.
Dennis also wished that Joshua would talk to him and apologize for what happened.
“‘Di ba meron akong previous interview o guesting sa Magandang Buhay and then nag-guest si Joshua and si Julia. So during the interview sa Magandang Buhay interview ni Joshua and ni Julia, ni-replay ‘tung portion nang interview ko regarding him. So ang sabi ko sa portion ng interview ko na basta ‘wag mo lang lolokohin ‘yung anak ko, ‘wag mong sasaktan ang anak ko. Nakatawa naman ako. Kaya lang nagiging action star ako if you’ll do otherwise.
“Tapos during the live portion, natuwa naman ako dun sa sagot niya sabi niya ‘Ah naiintindihan ko naman Tito Dennis, ‘di ka magiging action star,’ kaya ayun lang ang message ko kay Joshua, siguraduhin mo Joshua ‘di ako magiging action star kasi anak ko ‘yan alam mo ‘yun,
“Father’s Day ‘yun ‘di ko makakalimutan. Nag-usap tayong dalawa. So lalaki ka, lalaki ako.
He also admitted that he thought at first that Joshua was just acting during his emotional interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”
However, the veteran actor added that he later was convinced that Joshua was sincere with his apology and his emotions.
“Nung umpisa hindi, pero nung bandang huli, medyo naniniwala na ako, especially nung sinabi ni Boy Abunda na eto I remember the phrase, ‘Joshua, you have my respect’ so nung sinabi ni Boy Abunda ‘yun, sabi ko, ‘Okay approve’,” he stated.
The controversy started when screenshots of Joshua’s private messages to the female netizen surfaced online.
In his interview with Boy Abunda, Joshua explained that he was just complimenting the girl’s photo.
He added that he will now be more careful on how he interacts with the people around him and even on social media.
KAMI believes that JoshLia will survive this controversy and will be stronger than ever!
