His wife left them but Arnel was so determined to work for his children.

One of his sons, Angelo goes out with him everyday to sell ice cream in order to earn money for their needs.

Arnel was born with an eye condition called glaucoma. When he reached the age of 20, one of his eyes.was impaired.

His condition worsened and totally lost his vision.

According to Arnel he just wanted to have a source of income so he could support his children's growing needs.

They were given a 'sari-sari store with the help of the program Rated K along with some other sponsors.
