Student leaders from Akbayan Youth has filed another set of administrative complaints against Margaux "Mocha" Uson for her alleged peddling of fake news on the internet.
Carrying coffee cups with photos of Mocha and the text "#FireMocha", the group has rallied in front of the Office of the Ombudsman while chanting: “How do you like your Mocha? Fired!"
They have carried out a 12-page complaint, accusing the official of gross misconduct, serious dishonesty and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.
As a response, Mocha posted a video of her thanking the activist group for giving her an idea what to name a coffee shop.
"Nagpapasalamat po ako sa Akbayan Youth dahil binigyan po nila ako ng idea sa magiging pangalan ng aking future coffee shop. Ito ang 'Fire Mocha Cafe.' Abangan niyo po yan. Salamat, kape tayo," she said.
The Communications Undersecretary, who has nearly 5.6 million followers on her Facebook page, has repeatedly denied spreading false information. Mocha has been called out many times for her peddling of misinformation. She has actively campaigned for President Duterte back in the May 2016 elections, and was given a government post after he assumed position.
