Some aspiring Filipino actors and actresses see showbiz as their ticket out of poverty.
They join reality star searches or talent competitions with the hope that the fame and eventual work in the entertainment industry can sustain them in the future.
Once they make it big, it is easy to fall into the illusion that their future is secure.
But these stars understand the fickle nature of fame and showbiz. They know nothing guarantees a future than a solid education.

1. Derrick Monasterio
The Kapuso actor earned his diploma from Angelicum College in 2015.
2. Rocco Nacino
Actor and model Rocco Nacino graduated cumlaude for his master's degree in nursing at St. Bernadette of Lourdes College in Quezon City. He passed the Nursing Board Exam in 2009.
3. Diana Zubiri
The former sexy star graduated from Miriam College in April 2015 before marrying Andrew Smith the next month.
4. Michael V.
Bitoy graduated with a degree in Mass Communication from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. He met his wife Carol Bunagan in college.
5. Carla Abellana
The Kapuso actress earned her Psychology degree from De La Salle University.

6. Barbie Forteza and Vaness del Moral
Both young actresses graduated high school at the same time from the Alternative Learning System program of the Department of Education in 2015.
7. Marian Rivera
The Kapuso superstar has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas in 2005.
8. Dingdong Dantes
Dingdong finally finished a Techno Management course from West Negros University in Bacolod in 2014. He first enrolled in Ateneo de Manila University but was not able to finish it because of his hectic schedule.
9. Maine Mendoza
The phenomenal star finished Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management major in Culinary Arts from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde in 2015.
10. Pia Wurtzbach
This is Queen P's elementary graduation photo from Corpus Christi in Cagayan de Oro. She finished her secondary education at ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center. She graduated with a degree in culinary arts at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies.
