Social media profile of Christopher Dahn Saliendra elicited praises and positive comments from the online community.

Saliendra is a graduating student of Notre Dame of Marbel University with the course Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Mathematics.

Unlike most of the trending graduation posts and stories, he is not a recipient of any award or recognition but his unique graduation picture inspired many netizens.

He was holding a broom in his graduation picture. It is because it had been his tool to reach his goal. Saliendra was a working student.

“Noong una for humor lang, kasi naka-private yung picture, then may nag-chat sa akin na kung pwede i-public ko na lang daw kasi parang inspiring sya,” said Saliendra.

His friends described Saliendra as a jolly and humorous person.

Saliendra is from Lucban Quezon and the 4th among 5 siblings.

After high school, he had been a guitarist, a vocalist and drummer which made him stop schooling for 3 years.

In 2011, his aunt offered to help him to go back to study but he had to be a working student in Koronadal.

On his first year he was on the janitorial services of the university but was later on transferred as an office personnel but still cleans the office.

According to Saliendra, many netizens may have gone through the same situation like his which made his picture trending.

He had spent 6 years in college because he had 18 to 21 units as full load but he pursued his studies.

“This school year, ayun dumating na. Tiningnan ko muna yung grade ko bago ko pinost yung profile picture para sigurado. Ayun, gi-announce ko na. Ga-graduate na ako," said Saliendra.

On March 25, he is going to graduate and his parents and brother is coming to attend the event.

He wishes to inspire many working students who continue to strive to finish their studies.
