Zsa Zsa Padilla’s daughter, Karylle has confirmed the rumored breakup of her mother with Conrad Onglao.

Actress and singer Zsa Zsa Padilla is set to marry architect Conrad Onglao this year. Just recently, however, Zsa Zsa allegedly called off the engagement.

With this breaking news, Karylle has confirmed the breakup and shared her opinions on the issue. “It’s very sad kasi she called off the engagement. She’s back home and yun siguro, let's just give her to time to just really process things and heal,” the singer and TV host have said.

When asked about the real reason for the breakup, Karylle stated, “Actually, wala akong masyadong alam with the details masyado. I’ll leave it to my mom to explain.” (Actually, I don’t really know anything about the details. I’ll leave it to my mom to explain.)

She also doesn’t know if the two can patch things up and continue the engagement: “I don’t know... I don’t think so, but that’s not really for me to say.”

Karylle was also asked if she’s angry at what happened to her mother. She said that she is able to handle things better now: “siguro dumating na ako sa stage na mature na ako. Pag may hindi nag-work out, hindi na ako nagagalit. I’m more of protective of my mom. Sa hinhin kong ito, I’m protective of my mom.” (Perhaps, I have come to that stage when I have already matured. If things don’t work out, I don’t get angry anymore. I’m more protective of my mom. Despite being modest, I am protective of my mom.)

To everyone waiting for answers on the real reason why Zsa Zsa called off the engagement, Karylle has a request, “I would like to request na for prayers, kung puwede, and let’s give her the space to heal properly.”
