Bianca Umali definitely had a grand entrance on her debutante ball on March 17.

Titled #SimplyBianca, the 18th birthday celebration was held at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.

The actress was literally glowing when she entered the ballroom. Everyone was surprised by her glow-in-the-dark gown!

The gown is a glittering baby blue when bathed in room light. But when the lights are off, the gown transforms into a glowing marvel.

Bianca's stylist, John Paul Dizon, posted photos of the gown on Instagram. Click on the next photo to see the seemingly ordinary blue gown glow in the dark.

In an earlier press conference for her debut, Bianca said the gown was made by Fay Reyes, a Filipino designer based in Dubai.

"Kilala siya ng stylist ko, si John Paul Dizon. They worked together because my stylist, of course, alam niya kung ano ang gusto ko."

Bianca also said the gown was her own design.

"I had a design in mind noon pa at matagal ko nang ipinakita sa kanya. They're going to make it happen. Nanggaling po siya sa Dubai because mahirap po siyang gawin dito," said Bianca.

Bianca started her career when she was only two years old. She appeared in several television commercials as a child.

She broke into acting for television when she was 9 years old. She was one of the hosts for children's show Tropang Potchi.

She currently stars in the supernatural drama series Kambal, Karibal in GMA.
