Romnick Sarmenta and Harlene Bautista used to be always seen on television and in the movies back in the 90s.

Whatever happened to these ‘90s stars who got married 19 years ago?

KAMI learned that the married celebrity couple has become successful businessmen and loving parents.

According to Smart Parenting, Romnick and Harlene own the restaurant called Salu, located in Quezon City.

They also have five kids – Abijah, Seki, Bo, Merel, and Yuwela.

Harlene had this to say about their restaurant:

"It's really our passion for food, doon talaga nagsimiula… We really support each other. Whatever endeavor that I want to get into, sinusuportahan niya talaga. And most of the time naman pareho kami ng interests. I think that's what makes us successful in a way."

Before opening the restaurant in 2016, the couple also owned a small bar and a coffee shop.

Their eldest has gotten involved in the business, as he took up a course on being a chef and is working for the restaurant.

On “Magandang Buhay,” Romnick said that the reason he and Harlene left showbiz was so they could focus on spending time with their kids.

"Kami kasi ni Harlene, ayaw kasi namin 'yung kapag may kailangan 'yung anak mo o may sakit or may masakit sa anak mo eh tumatakbo sa yaya.

“So nag-decide kami. Sabi namin konting panahon lang kasi 'yung mga bata. I mean lahat ng magulang maiisip ito, up to a certain time lalayo at lalayo sila sa iyo, magtatayo sila ng sariling pamilya and you only have a number of years para ma-enjoy mo 'yung company nila at ma-build mo 'yung character nila," Romnick said, as quoted by ABS-CBN News.

KAMI admires the couple for loving each other, caring for their kids, and finding ways to provide for the family!
