KC Concepcion shared on social media her travel to Marawi City, where she helped feed children whose lives have been harmed by the recent battles between the government forces and terrorists.
KAMI learned that KC was accompanied by Chef Tony Boy Escalante and the World Food Programme in the feeding program.
“These trips are so valuable to me- the people I meet and come in close contact with up in the mountains make me realize how ONE PERSON can impact you in more ways than you can imagine.
“Also, some of our problems are NOTHING compared to what these people have gone through. And yet, they choose to be happy. Keep your circle positive and always CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY.
“Thank you @worldfoodprogramme_official for the work that you do & allowing me to bring my dear friend, the generous & passionate Chef Tony Boy Escalante, as our guest,” KC wrote.
Robin Padilla’s daughter Queenie Padilla, a Muslim, shared her reaction towards KC’s selfless gesture and the hijab she was wearing.
“She looks absolutely stunning in hijab. 10 years she has served in the UN.
“What a wonderful achievement! Keep shining and flying @itskcconcepcion you are beautiful inside and out and an inspiration for Filipino women,” she posted.
KC is the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion.
Her parents separated when she was young.
She recently broke up with her ex-boyfriend, Azkals player Aly Borromeo.
