Anne Curtis has still a long way to go to prove that she’s a singer. This time, it was Darren Espanto who said yes to her showdown challenge.
For her opening number on It’s Showtime last March 14, the self-proclaimed biritera has collaborated with the teen singer and belted out a medley of old school love songs such as “"Total Eclipse of the Heart", "What About Love", and “I’d do anything for love”.
Even before the live show, Anne has admitted she felt the pressure after witnessing Darren’s vocal prowess on stage during rehearsals.
“Guys! Mukhang kailangan ko galingan. Ang galing talaga ni @Espanto2001 rehearsal pa lang. So, paano?,” Anne tweeted a few hours before they air.
After the trending performance, Anne admitted that Darren is in her level of good when it comes to singing. She jokinly said, “Alam mo naisip ko kasi sino ba sa generation na medyo mas younger sa atin ang kayang pumantay sa pagiging biritera ko, at kinaya ni Darren Espanto, mas maganda pa ang boses sa akin. Pero hindi ko masyadong ginalingan.”
Anne posted their selfie on her Twitter account afterwards, and praised the young crooner. “Thanks baby boy @Espanto2001 for being game for my kabaliwan on Showtime today Grabe! Galing mo! I had so much fun!”
Darren replied and noted that he enjoyed the opportunity too.
"It's hard to be a mother and it's hard to be a father. Can you just imagine how difficult is it for one person to play the role of two?" Anna revealed why being a single parent is the hardest decision has ever made. Know more about this story on KAMI Youtube Channel!
