Christopher de Leon has finally spoken up about the gun accident which happened on the Kambal Karibal set.
KAMI saw on PEP that the actor opted to speak up about it to bring awareness to his fellow artists and to the production staff, because he never thought that it would ever happen to him.
Boyet said, "Ang gusto ko lang iano na… kasi papa’no yung, like for example, yung mga bit players na kasama sa action or kasama sa mga eksenang may barilan, ganun? Will they take care of them also?
“Kasi, sa akin nangyari, puwede mangyari sa iba.
“Puwedeng mangyari dun sa mga, like, yung mga stuntmen, yung pinapasabugan, binabaril, di ba?
“Ano ang assurance ng mga artista from mga unfortunate incidents na ganito?” said Boyet.
The 61-year-old actor said that he has been doing gun scenes for a very long time and somehow, he's already calm and at ease about the whole thing.
Boyet said that he never thought that such an accident could happen to him.
Not in his wildest dreams did he think that the use of blank bullets could actually bring about death.
An expert in effects revealed that what happened to Christopher was an isolated case.
Boyet's wife, Sandy Andolong, sent a photo of the bullet that was retrieved from Christopher's thigh.
What happened to Christopher was certainly a lesson that is meant to make actors and actresses, as well as the production staff to exercise better safety precautions at the set.
